MISSION
To help provide better quality of life for abused, neglected and abandoned children by providing a residential shelter and emergency intake center.
VISION
The Children's Village of Hampton Roads is committed to revolutionizing the foster care experience of children by raising the standards and expanding residential care to a level beyond ordinary expectations to include more than food, shelter and safety.
The Children's Village will care for children of all races, creeds, nationalities and religions. If a child needs a safe refuge and we have a bed open, we will welcome them by providing both emergency and long-term foster care. We especially want to give special consideration to shelter sibling groups coming in to care together.
GOALS
To establish a stable, family-like setting for children in foster care in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Our aim is to minimize the upheaval and disruption of multiple placements many children experience and provide opportunity for sibling groups to remain together allowing children to develop healthy emotional attachments in a nurturing environment. This foundation of stability of living circumstances, educational opportunity and environment will help these children better prepare for a successful transition into adulthood.
